Early Childhood Education

Welcome ...

to the North American Division Early Childhood Education website, where we celebrate the boundless potential of the formative years (birth to five) in every child’s journey. At the heart of our mission lies the belief that these early stages hold the key to the development of the whole child, lifelong learning, and most importantly, spiritual growth.

Seventh-day Adventist Early Childhood Education (ECE) has its foundation in the Biblical imperative for purposeful training of the young child. We are blessed with the sacred duty of imparting the teachings of scripture, "And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children." Isaiah 54:13

OUR MISSION —
to see young children growing in their love for God and love for others through purposeful integrated learning experiences in a caring Christian environment.

The North American Division recognizes that the early education and care of young children is the beginning of a continual growth process. “Too much importance cannot be placed upon the early training of children. The lessons learned, the habits formed, during the years of infancy and childhood, have more to do with the formation of the character and the direction of the life than have all the instruction and training of after years” (Ministry of Healing, p. 380).

In partnership with the home and church, it is essential that a balanced ECE program be established to meet the needs of a child’s spiritual, physical, intellectual, and social-emotional development from birth to entrance into formal schooling. This focus has the full intention of affirming the value of each child and family, bringing them closer to Christ.
